Tony Horton is the man

I know Tony is the man because he tells me so, he also tells me to Bring It, he tells me that a lot. 

I have started P90X which is a series of workout DVDs along with a nutrition plan which I am largely ignoring due to the inclusion of supplements and the annoying use of ounces (the preferred measurement of large scale drug traffickers and damned non-metric people).

Anyway,  I did the first workout – core synergistics- I don’t even know what that is, but they could have renamed it 24 hour smackdown because I swear after 24 hours I have lost the ability to walk, sit or stand like a normal person.  If I drop something, it stays dropped.  I can’t say whether it was the squats, the “banana rolls” or “bow to boat” or some other crazy move that has your rolling around on the floor, that did the damage, but I have an awesome burn EVERYWHERE.

 

Last night I did the cardio workout and because I am not supposed to be doing anything, I just modified it all for low impact and still worked up a sweat. 

 

I still cannot do one Dreya Roll - but The Crazy Dog loves P90X because when I am on the floor writhing in pain trying to work my core bringing it, she gets to bring me tennis balls and a lick in the face.

 

I am on night shift so any exercise is a bonus- but I am not looking forward to Shoulders & Arms followed by the Ab Ripper sessions marked for tonight. 

 

I took my measurements, but I will not be posting my before and after photos- not for a million dollars.

    Oh wow P90x – HARDCORE but we all knew you were all that. You will be rippling in no time!
    You know what darl? I do think complaining is THE BEST but just at the moment my own complaining/focus on the hard stuff is stopping me from moving toward fitness. Yours seems to fire you up! MIne used to be like that but not at the moment; it just bogs me down. That’s a long way of saying my blog post is a message to myself about what I need to do at the moment, not a statement about the Right Way To Do Things (as you know I think there’s probably a different right way for everyone) ((hugs))

  4. Sounds hardcore!

    I was doing an Ab exercise the other day, where I crunch down using a cable on the cable gym thingy (technical term there) and ended up headbutting a cat, 3 times, either the cat is very stubborn or very stupid, I suspect the latter.
