The following is threatening to darken my Christmas spirit:
- head cold
- no running due to cold
- missed out on getting an interview for the job I want
- have an interview for the job I don’t want BECAUSE IT IS SCARY
- working 18 hour days repeatedly
Is it bad if:
- I am hoping for this cold to be pneumonia so I can hide in my bed
- I am going ice skating only so I break a bone and don’t have to paddle
Luckily the Christmas carols are on repeat- (The Fairytale of New York I love you) and the cheery disposition should return after the job interview on Thursday, which reminds me, I must go and study up on how to investigate Child Abuse in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
Might run again on the weekend when I technically have started leave.

(oh, it has something to do with child abuse….:( )

The child abuse thing is truly scary. I don’t envy you if you’re working in that space.
I’m also not a big fan of the CALD term. In my experience it’s what organisations use when they want to lazily group together everyone who’s not completely anglo.

I agree, we love to label stuff with weasel words, but I don’t know how else to define the complex melting pot in that particular area.

If wishing you’d get sick so you don’t have to go to work is bad, then I’m bad too!

I am guilty of wishing an illness on myself to take a break too, hang in there, leave is but a few days away by the sounds of it.
Your potential new job sounds tough but someone has to do it and I think you would do it well.

hope the interview today goes the way you want it to (the other people who didn’t give you the interview you wanted clearly DON’T RECOGNISE QUALITY).
Take care darl (((hugs)))
